Dear Malvern Middle School Families,
I spoke to a teacher on Friday, who said that the school year has gone by so fast, it should still be October. I am sure you feel the same way. The month ahead of our students is a crucial one, filled with activities, tests, projects, and exams. We have only three weeks left of classes, and half of the report card still hangs in the balance because of the pending 4th Quarter grades, exam grades, and their Final grades! Please help us to help these guys succeed.
I am posting a schedule for May online that lists the weekly activities like Band practice, Chorus practice, activities, advisory, and “E” periods. The dates and activities are subject to change; however we will do everything we can to keep changes to a minimum. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to check in. Also The “Middle Years” newsletter is also posted on the Middle School Resources webpage . Please read and discuss it with your sons.
The month of May includes the National Junior Honors Society Induction Ceremony on Tuesday, May 4 from 8:25-9:00 am. The 8th grade students start their exams on Wednesday, May 19 and the 6th and 7th grade students start on Tuesday, May 25.
The school year went by at a rapid pace, however, we have been able to accomplish so much and witness tremendous growth in your sons. Thank you again for allowing us to be a part of their lives.
In the Shadow of Augustine,
Ronald A. Algeo
Dean of the Middle School
